CSU football 2023 gameday guide: What to know about going to Canvas Stadium
The 2023 college football season is here.
The Colorado State football team has six home games at Canvas Stadium with almost all afternoon and evening kickoffs (one kick time is still to be announced).
The return of football means tailgating is back for Year 2 of the Jay Norvell era.
Here's everything you need to know about attending a game at Canvas Stadium.
Here is the timeline for the Washington State-CSU game on Saturday, Sept. 2.
Some overnight parking is allowed on campus the day before games. Fans with RVs and oversized vehicles can purchase an overnight pass to begin parking at 5:30 p.m. the night before a game. It is only permitted in the Moby Arena lot and pre-registration is required.
Outside of the overnight parking spaces, lots open four hours before kickoff (1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2).
Several neighborhoods near campus have instituted a game-day parking permit program, and vehicles without the proper permit in those neighborhoods will be ticketed and towed. The zones are marked with signs. Enforcement begins three hours before kickoff.
Single-game and season passes for parking can be purchased online at csurams.com.
CSU moved its central hub for tailgating to the corner of Meridian Avenue and Hughes Way ahead of last season. It is located just north of Canvas Stadium.
The Ram Town will have inflatables and other entertainment for families, and it sits along the route to Ram Walk, where the team enters the stadium after walking through the crowd. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
All guests entering Canvas Stadium are required to go through bag inspection, including metal detection screening. Under the clear bag policy, bags can be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no larger than 12 inches wide, 6 inches deep and 12 inches high. One-gallon storage bags, small clutch bags and soft, flexible (no metal) seat cushions are permissible.
Fans are encouraged to arrive to events early in order to avoid delays with metal detector screening.
Single-game and multi-game pass tickets can be purchased at CSURams.com/tickets, by calling 970-491-7267 or via the stadium box office, which opens four hours before kickoff.
All game parking and ticketing for CSU events has moved to digital tickets. Tickets will be scanned via cellphones to enter parking lots and Canvas Stadium.
Fans can manage their account at CSURams.com/MyAccount. From there, they can login to access their tickets, transfer them to friends and family and save them to their phone.
CSU faculty and staff can claim two complimentary tickets to Saturday's game.
Transfort services are free on game days.
Bikes are discouraged on MAX on game days and will not be accommodated at peak times. They won’t be allowed on game day shuttle front racks.
Full schedules are available at ridetransfort.com/gameday.
